Mr. James Elbert Bennett

James Elbert Bennett, age 88, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Bennett was born on August 28, 1927 in Crofton, KY to the late Marion Washington Bennett and Annie Florence Sheets Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a retired coal miner and was a member of Ilsley Holiness Church.



Mr. Bennett is survived by a son and daughter-in-law ~ Wendell and LaDonna Bennett of Madisonville, KY; two grandchildren ~ Dustin (Jill) Bennett and Kim (Anthony) Ardovino; and four great-grandchildren ~ Dylan Cornette, Lacee Cornette, Colson Bennett and Laudan Bennett.



Preceding Mr. Bennett in death were his parents; his wife ~ Anna Louise Terry Bennett (departed 1962), a sister ~ Rachael Carroll Vanover and a brother ~ William O. Bennett.



Visitation for Mr. James Elbert Bennett will be on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Ilsley Cemetery in Ilsley, Kentucky.



Active Pallbearers will be Bill Carroll, Jeff Carroll, Dylan Cornette, Eddie Carroll, Jim Wolfe and Anthony Ardovino. Honorary Pallbearers will include Odell Hamby and Kenneth “Bud” Terry.
