Mr. James Edward Galloway

James Edward Galloway, age 66, passed away at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, September 17, 2012 at his residence in Dawson Springs, KY. Mr. Galloway was born June 6, 1946 in Caldwell County. He was a member of the Midway Valley Pentecostal Church and a graduate of Caldwell County High School.



Mr. Galloway served his country in the United States Army. He worked for 32 years in the coal mining industry, retired from Peabody Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA.



He is survived by a beloved wife ~ Brenda Galloway of Dawson Springs, KY; his mother ~ Janet Belle Creekmur Galloway; two daughters ~ Jeannie Wells and husband David of Madisonville, KY and Jammie Dawn Galloway of North Carolina; a step-daughter ~ Stacy Hornback of Hanson, KY; three sisters ~ Susan Jones of Madisonville, KY, Judy Galloway of Dawson Springs, KY and Faye DeHart of Dawson Springs, KY; five brothers ~ Bobby Galloway of Charleston, South Carolina, Clay, Frankie, & Randy Galloway of Dawson Springs, KY and Jewell Raymond Galloway of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren & one great grandchild.



Preceding Mr. Galloway in death was his father~ Jewell Sherman Galloway and a brother ~ Jimmy Galloway.



Friends may call beginning Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Willard Walls. Burial will follow in Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY..
