Mr. Jack B. Waddell

Jack B. Waddell of Dawson Springs, KY and formerly of Lake County, IL passed away at 5:15 A.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his residence in Dawson Springs. Mr. Waddell was born August 29, 1927. He is a member of the Dunn Baptist Church in Charleston, KY and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Vandalia, IL. Mr. Waddell served his country in the United States Army.



For many years Mr. Waddell worked as a National Union Representative where he organized all levels of government employees with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).



Mr. Waddell is survived by his wife, Marian C. Waddell of Dawson Springs, KY, three daughters~ Sharry Nelson (Mike Hoover) of Irving, IL; Janey Sirois (Dale) of Dawson Springs, KY; and Carol Waddell of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one son~ Jack R. Waddell (Denise) of Kenosha, Wisconsin. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild, a brother~ Larry Waddell of Vandalia, IL ; and sister~ Liz Pforr of Matoon, IL and numerous loving nieces and nephews and a beloved church family.



Preceding Mr. Waddell in death were his parents ~ James Edward Waddell and Effie Elizabeth Jordan Waddell, three brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter, and one great grandson.



A memorial service will be held for Mr. Waddell this Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Dunn Baptist Church in Charleston, KY.
