Mr. Homer Eugene Winters

Homer Eugene Winters, age 74, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Winters was born on October 3, 1938 in Hopkins County, KY. He was a retired farmer and coal miner having worked almost 20 years for Pyro Mining Company. Additionally, he was a volunteer fireman with the Charleston Fire Department.



Mr. Winters is survived by a fiance’~ Diane Bivins of Beulah, KY; three daughters~ Alesia Morse of Dawson Springs, KY; Mary Ann Smith of St. Charles, KY; and Erica Sherrill of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons~ Carl Winters of Madisonville, KY; and Anthony Winters of Dawson Springs, KY; sister~ Ione Hendrix of Charleston, KY; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Winters in death are his parents, Andrew R. Winters, Jr. and Melvine Powell Winters Dukes; his wife~ Mary Lou Hendrix Winters (January 16, 2009); and two brothers~ Carlos Winters (12-16-94), and Leon Winters.



Visitation for Mr. Winters will be on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. through 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Beshear Funeral Home with Revs. Carl Winters and Jesse Hendrix presiding. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery.
