Mr. Gerald Ronald Burris

Gerald Ronald Burris, age 75, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Dawson Springs Health & Rehab Center, Dawson Springs, KY. He was born in Hopkins County, KY on December 27, 1938 to the late Wylie Franklin Burris and Georgia Faye Hamby Burris. Mr. Burris was a lifelong resident of Dawson Springs and he attended the First Baptist Church. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. He was handicapped all of his life.



He is survived by two brothers ~ Stanley Burris of Eddyville, KY, Tom Burris of Bernie, Missouri and several nephews.



Mr. Burris is preceded in death by his parents.



A funeral service will be held for Gerald Burris on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. A visitation for Mr. Burris will be held at Beshear Funeral Home earlier that same day from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jackie Perkins will preside at the funeral. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
