Mr. Elmer Ray Giffin

Elmer Ray Giffin, age 74, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, Kentucky. He was born on July 21, 1940 in Dawson Springs, KY to Arley and Katherine Nall Giffin. Mr. Giffin retired from the Kentucky State Department of Mines and Minerals where he worked as an inspector. He was of the Christian faith.



Mr. Giffin is survived by his wife ~ Sue Giffin of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter and son-in-law ~ Denese and Tim Batten of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Lorene Mitchell of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Eugene Giffin of Dawson Springs, KY; two grandsons ~ Adam (Haley) Fuller and Jared (Katie) Fuller.



Preceding Mr. Giffin in death were his parents and three brothers ~ Joseph Giffin, James Giffin and Kenneth Giffin.



Visitation for Mr. Elmer Giffin will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on July 8, 2015 at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Ilsley Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Batten, Jared Fuller, Bob Brewer, Roger Mitchell, Adam Fuller, Eugene Giffin and Van Brasher.
