Morris Jones

Morris Jones, age 74, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Jones was born on April 19, 1933 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Callie Jones and Fannie Allsbrooks Jones. Mr. Jones served his country in the United States Army for eight years and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also of the Pentecostal faith and a retired coal miner.



Survivors include his caregiver and companion ~ Mary Rogers of Madisonville, KY; a son ~ Larry M. Jones of St. Charles, KY; a sister ~ Vernie Dearing of Dawson Springs, KY; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; a son ~ Ricky Jo Jones; three sisters ~ Vola Lovell, Marie Ausenbaugh and Bety Hawkins; and two brothers ~ Brasie and Casey Jones.



Visitation for Mr. Morris Jones will be Monday, February 4, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Heath Ferguson will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Active Pallbearers will be Larry Harvey, Mitchell Ferguson, Michael Benton, Kenny Lear, Bobby Egbert and Johnathan Reese. Donald Allen and Ray Bochert will be Honorary Pallbearers.
