Mildred Ausenbaugh Fox

Mildred Ausenbaugh Fox, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Born on July 3, 1941, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Mildred lived her life with an unwavering love for those around her. She dedicated herself to nurturing her family and filling her home with joy and warmth.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Pamela Gail Fox (Randy) Bienhaus of Evansville, IN, and Renee Fox (Billy) Bratcher of Charleston, KY, as well as her son, Scott (Leann) Fox of Nortonville, KY. She also warmly embraced her role as a bonus mother to Leauna Rice. A proud grandmother, she leaves behind nine grandchildren: Cassi (Bryan) Combs, Jeremy (Kara) Ferguson, Ashley (Colin) Magee, Katee Bratcher, Shannon Fox, Emily Fox, Lincoln Parson, Nolan Parson, and Marshall Parson. Her legacy continues with her nine great-grandchildren—Braedon Combs, Macie (Shay) Combs, Kylie Combs, Gabe Cooper, Aixa Cooper, Brielle Scott, Brody Scott, Kavin Ferguson, and Carter Magee. A beloved member of her household, Mildred also adored her three fur babies: Willow, Socks, and Tiny.

Those who knew her would describe Mildred as a vibrant and loving individual, known for uplifting those around her. She poured her heart into making others happy and took great joy in filling her home with family members. During the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, she found solace and pleasure in reading, a pastime she cherished greatly. Mildred had a zest for life, enjoying cooking, singing karaoke, and traveling, alongside her affinity for caring for her cats.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Imon Clovis Ausenbaugh and Evelyn Ruth Miller Ausenbaugh, her infant sister Hilda Thelma Ausenbaugh, her son Darrell Wayne Fox and her daughter-in-law ~ Joann Fox.

Family and friends will gather to honor Mildred's memory during visitation on April 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on April 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home 201 N Main St, Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey and Mr. Lewis Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, KY, at 2:00 PM.Pallbearers will be: Randy Bienhaus, Braedon Combs, Colin Magee, Bryan Combs, Scott Fox, Billy Bratcher and Jeremy Ferguson.

Mildred Ausenbaugh Fox will be remembered fondly for her loving spirit and the indelible mark she made on the hearts of all who knew her.

Ms. Fox's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 2nd and 6th floors of St. Vincent Hospital for the loving care they showed to her.
