Mary Jane "Janie" Musgrove

Mary Jane “Janie” Musgrove, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville,KY. Mrs. Musgrove was born on November 23, 1945 to the late Johnnie Menser and Alcova McGee Menser.  She retired after working many years as the bookkeeper for the Circuit Court and was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College in Paducah, KY.  Mrs. Musgrove was a member of Dunn Baptist Church. Janie was a proud member of the first graduating class of West Hopkins High School in 1963.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years ~ James Russell Musgrove of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter ~ Jill (Mike) Johnston of Dalton, KY; a son ~ James Russell “Jamie” (Stacy) Musgrove of Evansville, IN; a sister-in-law ~ Darlene (Fred) Herndon of Hopkinsville, KY; a niece ~ Pam (David) Coomb of Hopkinsville, KY; seven grandchildren ~ Kayla (Justin) Briner, Katherine Musgrove, Andrew Johnston, Aaron Johnston, Emma Musgrove, Allie Musgrove and Paige Musgrove; six great-grandchildren ~ Brody, Jaxson, Karley, Easton, Mila and Athina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers ~ Larry Menser, David Menser and Curtis Menser.

Visitation for Mary Jane “Janie” Musgrove will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.
