Mary Margaret Knight

Mary Margaret Knight, age 76, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Knight was born in Dawson Springs, KY on March 19, 1946 to the late Clyde and Audrey Eison Wilkey. She was a 1964 graduate of Dawson Springs High School. Mrs. Knight received her undergraduate degree from Murray State University and a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University. She retired after teaching elementary school and music in Illinois for 34 years. Mrs. Knight attended the Dawson Springs Primitive Baptist Church.



Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband of 50 years ~ Joe Knight of Dawson Springs, KY; two nieces ~ Scarlet Lovins and Manya Wigley both of Dawson Springs, KY; a nephew ~ Cole (Asha) Wigley of Dawson Springs, KY and several great-nieces and nephews.



She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister ~ Janice Wigley and a brother ~ Don Wilkey.



Visitation for Mrs. Mary Margaret Knight will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Elder Jeff Winfrey will officiate the service and burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be Cole Wigley, Bobby Scott, Charles Robertson, Bo Hester, Phillip Bruce and Ross Workman.
