Mary Sue Franklin

Mary Sue Crafton Franklin, age 86, of Traverse City, MI and formerly of Dawson Springs passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Manson Hospice House in Traverse City, MI.  Mrs. Franklin was born on July 10, 1937 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Clarence Crafton and Louise Claxton Crafton. She was an elementary school teacher in Dawson Springs for 25 years and also a member of First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.   Mrs. Franklin was a graduate of Dawson Springs High School and Murray State Teachers College.

  
 She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law ~ Mike and Kathy Franklin of Traverse City, MI; three grandchildren ~ Matthew Franklin, Isaac (Emma) Franklin and Daniel Franklin and a great-grandson on the way.  Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Mrs. Franklin.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Bill Franklin and two sisters ~ Jean Jackson and JoAnn Allison.

 Visitation for Mrs. Mary Sue Crafton Franklin will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Mike Jicka officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Caldwell County.   Deacons of First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
