Mary Allene Bennett

Mary Allene Bennett, age 72, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Ms Bennett was born on August 22, 1950 in Dawson Springs, KY to Dessie Walter Bennett and Dixie Marie Orten Bennett. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, spending time with her family and listening to the music of Alan Jackson. She also loved thinking about angels and she appreciated angel art and ceramics. When her health would permit, Ms Bennett attended the Greenwood Church.

Ms Bennett is survived by a special friend of 22 years, Andrew Jones of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter, Kimberly Crick of Madisonville, KY; two sons, Gerald Bennett (Sheila) and Darrell Bennett (Marcie) of Northern Christian County, KY; seven grandchildren, Chelsey Ruth Bennett, James Stagner, Chantal Holtzclaw (Derrick), Justin Bennett (Ashley), Austin Bennett, Kelsey Howton, and Colby Crick; eight great-grandchildren, Gavin Stagner, Madasyn Grace Bennett, Kadyn Ty Bennett, Trey Holtzclaw, Emersyn Holtzclaw, Lane “Francois” Lucus, Kiyan “Cupcake” Sisodiya, and Karleigh Alvey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Bennett; and son, Donald Ray Bennett.

Visitation for Mary Allene Bennett will be Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Butch McKnight officiating.  Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Justin Bennett, Colby Crick, Trey Holtzclaw, Jimmy Holt, Austin Bennett and James Stagner. Kadyn Ty Bennett has been named as an Honorary Pallbearer.
