Martha Lou Childress

Martha Lou Childress, age 78, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on January 15, 2020 at Tradewater Pointe, Dawson Springs, KY. Mrs. Childress was born on February 14, 1941 in Providence, KY to the late James Thomas “Pappy” Frazer and Blondy Marie Dockery Frazer. She was a graduate of North High School in Evansville, IN. Mrs. Childress was a housewife and beloved mother & grandmother. She was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church.



She is survived by one daughter, Carla Winters (Elmer) Kruse of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons, Tony (Darlene) Winters of Dawson Springs, KY, and Timmy (Sue) Winters of Louisiana; one sister, Wanda Jean Davis of Springfield, TN; fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carlos Winters, second husband, John Robert Childress, a granddaughter, Rhonda Star Suttle, a great grandchild, Riley Anne McCaslin, and a sister, Mary Ann Orten.



Visitation for Martha Lou Childress will be Friday, January 17, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY, and on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Michael Orten and Rev. Daniel Orten. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.



Active Pallbearers are: Justin Robinson, Brandan Winters, Aaron Robinson, Briar Baldwin, Ayden Baldwin and Steven Hancock. Honorary Pallbearers include Mikey Stevens, Nathaniel Rau, Carl Weaver and Devon Hankins.
