Marion Philmon Riley

Marion Philmon Riley, age 84, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Riley was born on November 19, 1934 in Christian County, KY near Dawson Springs to the late Melvin Riley and Viola Menser Riley. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked in the tire and recapping industry in the area for thirty years. Additionally, he worked another fifteen years in the construction business. He was a member of the Good Hope Church in Mannington, KY.

He is survived by three daughters ~ Tina (Terry Austin) Scott of Hopkinsville, KY; Barbara (Ron) Harper of Madisonville, KY; and Dania (Kenneth) Beuke of Dawson Springs, KY; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife ~ Ella Mae Steeley Riley (departed 11-30-2004); second wife ~ Loyce Elaine Menser Riley (departed 7-16-2017); and, one sister ~ Melva Dean Montine.



Visitation for Mr. Marion Philmon Riley will be Friday, March 22, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM with Rev. Larry Phaup, Sr., officiation. Burial will follow at Hawkins Cemetery where a military honor service will be provided by a Navy Honor Guard prior to burial.



Active Pallbearers include John Capps, Phillip Sullivan, J.T. Harper, Colton Harper, David Tyrie and Josh Martin. Honorary Pallbearers include Randy Chappell, Terry Austin, Ron Harper and Kenneth Beuke.
