Lurlene Knight Farris Cook

Lurlene Knight Farris Cook, age 92, of Benton, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Lakeway Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Benton, KY. Ms. Cook was born on October 5, 1930 in Christian County, KY to the late Barrett Knight and Agnes Bennett Knight. She worked for many years at Outwood Hospital and was the manager of the Dawson Springs Laundromat. Ms. Cook was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.

Ms. Cook is survived by a daughter, Debbie Robertson of Benton, KY; a brother, Lonnie Knight of Milan, TN; six grandchildren, Billy (Ashlea) Robertson, Logan (Carrie) Robertson, Chantal (Derek) Holtzclaw, McKenzie Gamache, Jordyn Brooks and Justin Bennett; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ross Farris, her second husband, Roy Cook, a daughter, Dodie Brooks and a sister, Alla Powell.

Visitation for Lurlene Knight Farris Cook will be Monday, September 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Randall Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Shyflat Cemetery in Christian County, KY.

Pallbearers include Billy Robertson, Trey Holtzclaw, Joe Farris, Logan Robertson, Derek Holtzclaw and Levi Brooks.
