Linda Mcknight

Linda McKnight, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Tradewater Health and Rehabilitation. Ms. McKnight was born in Dawson Springs, KY on June 21, 1945 to the late Lexie Dockrey and Cozy Rachel Gamblin Dockrey. She worked for many years as a delivery driver for UPS. Ms. McKnight loved singing gospel music and playing the piano and assisted her husband when he would pastor churches by playing the piano for congregational singing.



Survivors include her three daughters, Lexia Evitts (Terry) of Dawson Springs, Kim Barnett (Douglas) of Nebo, Roxie Henson (Bryan) of Martinsville, IN, and her daughter-in-law, Tammy McKnight of Madisonville; one brother, Pat Dockrey of Anton; nine grandchildren, Dustin Morris, Morgan Henson, Bradon Henson, Lyndsie Gipson, Jessica Shelton, Casey Barnett, Angel Shemwell, Austin McKnight, and Josh Garrett; and sixteen great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Rev. Eugene McKnight; son, Tony McKnight; Grandsons, Davory Morris and Skylar Barnett, and step grandson, Jake McDonald; brother, Linville Dockery; sisters, Blondie Frazier, Beatrice Hopper, Aline Hopkins, Betty Weaver, Norma Sue Litchfield and Gayla Dean Hunt.



Visitation for Linda McKnight will be Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Doug Barnett and Rev. Butch McKnight will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Dustin Morris, Casey Barnett, Bryan Henson, Terry Evitts, Rev. Doug Barnett and Angel Shemwell. Austin McKnight will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
