Lemiza "Frances" Cavanaugh Duncan

Lemiza Frances Cavanaugh Duncan, age 94, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Tradewater Pointe Nursing Home. Mrs. Duncan was born on February 3, 1922 in Nortonville, KY to the late Frank and Mabel Miller Cavanaugh. She worked for many years as the store clerk at the C-Star Market and at Arvin Industries. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs for more than 60 years and was a 1941 graduate of Nortonville High School.



Mrs. Duncan is survived by a son and daughter-in-law ~ Michael and Debby Duncan of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Charles Cavanaugh of Corydon, KY; two granddaughters ~ Jennifer (Alan) Hall and April (Shawn) Helm; and three great-grandchildren ~ India Hall, Brody Duncan Hall and Sawyer Douglas Helm.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Kirby Weldon Duncan (departed 12-21-1996); sisters ~ Marie Moore and Margaret Eli; brothers ~ Deward Cavanaugh, Austin Cavanaugh, W.C. Cavanaugh and Wayne Cavanaugh.



Visitation for Mrs. Lemiza “Frances” Cavanaugh Duncan will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 8:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Mike Duncan, Jennifer Rebecca Hall and April Anne Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



The family would like to thank the employees of Tradewater Health and Rehab for the loving care they provided for Mrs. Duncan.
