Tommy Terry, age 79, of St. Charles, KY passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Terry was born on November 18, 1945 in Madisonville, KY to the late Lawrence Terry and Sarah Elizabeth Wilkerson Terry. He worked all of his life as a farmer and in the coal industry as an excellent dozer operator. He retired with Peabody Coal Company and he was a UMWA Miner. He was a member of Lake Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Terry is survived by three sons, Charles “Buddy” Bennett, Ricky Bennett and Randy Bennett; two daughters in love, Kristi Darnell (Adam), Chasidy Chappell (Scott); three sisters - Debbie Crick of Madisonville, KY, Rita Jenkins of Henderson, KY and Karen "Kay" Karuso of Alexandria, VA; brothers - Rick Moore of Dawson Springs, KY and Wayne Moore of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Josh Bennett, Lindsey King (Kevin), Steven Adamson, Zebulun Bennett (Lexi), Bella Bennett; great grandchildren, Haley Dickerson (Erik), Austin Chappell (Whitney), Travis Darnell, Kendra Prowell, Tristlynn Kinlaw (Kaanan), Jolynn Darnell (Nate), Braxtyn Bennett, Tristan Bennett, Mason King, Maci Bennett, Laci Bennett, Leon Bennett, Levi Bennett, Sierra Morse; great-great grandchildren, Riley, Ryder, River Dickerson, Lane, Landen Chappell, Bailey Darnell, Jovie, Valley Kinlaw, Gentry, Briar Powell, and Sonnie Nichols.
Tommy Terry is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 52 years, Helen Terry; two grandsons, Rick Bennett, Jr. and Justin Bennett; and his step-father, Walter Moore.
A visitation will be held for Lawrence Thomas “Tommy” Terry on Wednesday, Janaury 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Charlie Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Josh Bennett, Nate Drake, Kevin King, Erik Dickerson, Austin Chappell, Travis Darnell, Zebulun Bennett, Kaanan Kinlaw, Randy Bennett, Ricky Moore, Ricky Bennett, and Charles “Buddy” Bennett.
