Larry Wayne Baucum

Larry Wayne Baucum, age 69, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home. Mr. Baucum was born on October 7, 1950 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Junior Baucum, Jr. and Betty Jean Messamore Baucum. He was a 1969 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and worked for many years at Outwood Hospital and at Elgin Mental Hospital in Illinois. Mr. Baucum served his country in the United States Army from 1983 – 1985 in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper.

Mr. Baucum is survived by three sisters ~ Carol (Joe) Hopper of Shelbyville, TN, Glenda (Glen) Franklin of Dawson Springs, KY and Debbie Hayes of Dawson Springs, KY; a best friend who was like a brother ~ Lee Merrill of Dawson Springs, KY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.



Graveside services for Mr. Larry Wayne Baucum will be on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at New Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, KY with Rev. Chris Hill and Rev. Jackie Mathis officiating.



His nephews and close family members will serve as pallbearers.
