Julia Myerl DeLong

Julia Myerl DeLong, age 86, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home. Mrs. DeLong was born on November 9, 1937 to the late Mark Smith and Ruby Nave Smith Estep. She was a member of Union Temple General Baptist Church. 

Mrs. DeLong is survived by husband of 14 years ~ Gerald Eugene DeLong of Dawson Springs, KY; three daughters ~ Paula Rose (Sergio) Chavez, Laura Lee (Carl) Adams and Julie Denise (Michael) Martin all of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ William Anthony Earl of Smithland, KY and Rev. Danny (Victoria) Earl of Dawson Springs, KY; two sisters ~ Minnie Lois LaPradd of St. Charles, KY and Paulette Hulsey of Madisonville, KY; a brother ~ Tex David (Janet) Smith of Dawson Springs, KY; fourteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son ~ Alan Keith Earl; a daughter-in-law ~ Jessie Earl; sisters ~ Carol Ann Rivera, Elaine Lamb, and Diane Parchman; a brother ~ Mark Smith, Jr. and a granddaughter ~ Heather Danielle Cline.

Visitation for Julia Myerl DeLong will be Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 12:00 until the memorial service hour at 2:00 PM at Union Temple Baptist Church, Union Temple Road, Saint Charles, KY with Rev. David Hoard officiating.
