Joseph "Jo" Christene Johnson

Joseph “Jo” Christene Johnson, age 82, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on May 25, 2021 at Maple Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Greenville, KY. Mrs. Johnson was born on February 2, 1939 to Carlie Thomas Hopper and Betty Fisher Hopper in Dawson Springs, KY. She was a beloved wife and mother.



She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas Johnson of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters, Tammy Martin (Randy) of Dawson Springs, KY and Teresa Wood (Boyce) of Dalton, KY; two brothers, James Robert Hopper of Hopkinsville, KY and Don Hopper (Mary) of Dawson Springs, KY; three sisters, Judy Chester (Ron) of Dawson Springs, KY, Janie Parrott (Danny) of Madisonville, KY and Brenda Kay Bozell (Jimmy) of Hopkinsville, KY; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Thomas Anthony Johnson; two sisters, May Dean Mills and Thelma Sue German; and one brother, Charles Hopper.



A public graveside service will be held for Joseph “Jo” Christene Johnson on Saturday, May 29, 2021, 2:00 PM, at Rosedale Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Randy Martin, Jonathan Wood, Tom Walker, Boyce Wood and Don Hopper.
