Johnny Elvis Orten

Johnny Elvis Orten, age 82, of Northern Christian County near Dawson Springs, KY passed away on August 16, 2020 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. Mr. Orten was born on August 11, 1938 in Crofton, KY to the late James William Orten and Margie Victoria Trotter Orten. He worked many years and retired with United Parcel Service as a delivery driver. He was a member of the Shyflat Tabernacle Church.



Mr. Orten is survived by one son, Orvel Elvis Orten of Metropolis, IL; one brother, R.L. (Carolyn) Orten of Dawson Springs, KY; one sister, Ruth (Dextel) Hoard of Charleston, KY; and one grandson, Conor Orten of Knoxville, TN.



Preceding Mr. Orten in death are his parents, his wife ~ Ruby Lee Orten and several brothers and sisters.



Visitation for Mr. Johnny Elvis Orten will be Friday, August 21, 2020, from 1:00 PM (CST) until the funeral hour at 3:00 PM (CST) at Beshear Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. David Hoard will officiate. Burial will follow at Shyflat Tabernacle Cemetery.



Pallbearers include Richard Jewell, Charles Carpenter, Phillip Bruce, Tracy McBride, and Ryan Dunbar.
