Joe Ray Allen, Jr.

Joe Ray Allen, Jr., age 75, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Mr. Allen was born on October 23, 1949 in Pulaki, TN to the late Joe Ray Allen, Sr. and Levolua Dugger Allen. Joe was a 1967 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and attended Hopkinsville Community College for 1 year. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 – 1975 and retired after working 39 years as a substation foreman for Kentucky Utilities.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of fifty-six years ~ Vicki Fox Allen of Dawson Springs, KY; a son ~ Craig Allen and his wife Heather, of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Donnie (Dorinda) Allen of Dawson Springs, KY and a half-sister ~ Sheila Allen of Tennessee; a granddaughter ~ Sarah (Anthony) Stone and a great-granddaughter ~ Savannah Faye Stone.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Joe Ray Allen, Jr.will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Monday, March 17, 2025 from 11:00 A. M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Mike Jicka and Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow in McNeely Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.

Pallbearers will be: Craig Allen, Sean Menser, Jordan Dalton, Allen Fox, Kyle Menser, Lucas Johnson and Will Fox. Ryan Long and Jamey Locke will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
