Joann Watson Ward

JoAnn Watson Ward passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton, KY. JoAnn was born October 15, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a 1959 graduate of Butler High School. JoAnn married Gerald “Jerry” Ward on January 20, 1962. They were blessed with two sons, John Robert Ward, born December 7, 1962 and William Lee "Bill" Ward born October 3, 1965.



JoAnn worked for many years in customer service at Wal-Mart in Princeton and retired as an aide at Caldwell County Primary School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton.



She is survived by a son ~ William Lee "Bill" Ward, of Princeton, and one grand-daughter, Emily-Catherine Ward, of Princeton and several cousins.



Joann was preceded in death by her husband ~ Jerry Ward on June 24, 2015; her mother ~ Annie Watson and several aunts and uncles.



Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, KY with Rev. Jim McDaniel officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Perry, Wayne Yates, Billy Ward, Rev. Jim McDaniel, David Sewell and Trevor Sewell.



Friends are invited for a time of fellowship and refreshments with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. on Thursday afternoon at the Ward home, 600 North Jefferson Street, Princeton, KY.
