Joann Newberry Johnson

JoAnn Johnson, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at her home. Ms. Johnson was born on April 14, 1942 in Sumner County, TN to the late Raymond Newberry and Irene Hunter Newberry. She worked for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants.

Ms. Johnson is survived by two daughters ~ Sallie Johnson of Dawson Springs, KY and Judy Williams of Madisonville, KY; a son ~ Jason Johnson of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Margaret Ladd of St. Charles, KY; two brothers ~ Charlie Newberry and wife, Dean, of Dawson Springs, KY and Billy Newberry of Alabama; six grandchildren ~ Amanda Keyes, Donald Cummings, Angie Cummings, Ashley Copeland, Candra Pettus and Brandon Keyes; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters ~ Velma Cummings, Frances Williams, Gloria Skimehorn and Elizabeth Holmand; brothers ~ Raymond (Dunk) Newberry, James (Jimbo) Newberry, Albert Newberry, Sammy Newberry, Andy Newberry and Bobby Newberry.

Services for Ms. JoAnn Johnson will be held at a later date.
