James Marvin Cranor

August 5, 1923 — March 15, 2008

James Marvin Cranor, age 84, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Cranor was born on August 5, 1923 in Christian County, KY to the late Jack Cranor and Elveline Menser Cranor. He retired after working more than 30 years as a heavy equipment operator in the coal mines and was of the Pentecostal faith.



Survivors include his wife of 62 years ~ Senerah Louise Ausenbaugh Cranor of Dawson Springs, KY; four sons ~ James Eugene Cranor, Charles Cranor and Stan Cranor all of Dawson Springs, KY and Marvin Lee Cranor of Crofton, KY; a sister ~ Alma Shipman of Kennewick, WA; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and care givers ~ Ruth Morse, Renee Skinner and Sandy Steeley.



Mr. Cranor was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and six brothers.



Visitation for Mr. James Marvin Cranor will be Monday, March 17, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY and on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Cranor and Rev. Chris Cranor will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Creekmur Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.
