Jackie Wayne Parker

Jackie Wayne Parker, age 72, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Parker was born on February 24, 1946 to the late Vertis Gray Parker and Nettie Clorine Barton Parker. He was a UMWA Coal Miner working for both Peabody Coal Co. and Alliance Coal Company. Mr. Parker served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Olney Fellowship Church.



Mr. Parker is survived by three sons ~ Adam Wayne (Niki) Parker of Dawson Springs, KY, Chad Alan (Laura) Parker of Madisonville, KY, and Christopher Lance (Kelly) Parker of Hanson, KY; five brothers ~ William “Billy” Parker of Sullivan, KY, Jimmy Parker of Nebo, KY, Paul Parker of Marion, KY, Jerry Parker of Benton, KY, and David Parker of Nebo, KY; one sister ~ Joyce “Tutor” Parker of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren ~ Ethan, Seth, Abby, Christian, McKenzie, and Rhyan; and one great-grandchild ~ Easton.



He is preceded in death by his parents, wife ~ Tresa Ann Casey Parker (DOD 6-26-2018), son ~ Kevin Parker (DOD 3-15-05); and two sisters ~ Virginia Lindsey and Sue Jones.



Visitation for Mr. Jackie Wayne Parker will be Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Josh Riley will officiate. Burial will follow at McNeely Cemetery preceded by a military honor service conducted jointly by the US Army Honor Guard and the Hopkins County Veterans Group Honor Guard sponsored by the Madisonville American Legion Post 68.



Active Pallbearers include Adam Parker, Lance Parker, Chad Parker, Christian Parker, Mikey Stevens and Matt Stone.
