Izetta Jackson

Izetta Jackson, age 103, formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Jackson was born on June 18, 1916 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late William Logan Dockrey and Roma Tinsley Dockrey. She was the bookkeeper for Hicks Dollar Stores for more than twenty years and was a member of Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Jackson was a 1933 graduate of Dalton High School.



Mrs. Jackson is survived by a daughter ~ Judy Carolyn (Cliff) Gill of Paducah, KY; a son ~ Jerry Wayne (Iris LaRue) Lovan of Dalton, KY; two sisters ~ Myrtle Ruth Tyson of Madisonville, KY and Mary Grace Riley of Dalton, KY; five grandchildren ~ Kent Wayne Lovan, Kimberly Rue (Scott) McElroy, Kayla Gill (Kenneth) Mason, Keri Lynn (Todd) McKinney, William “Chip” Gill; eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mrs. Jackson in death were her parents; her first husband ~ William B. Lovan; her second husband ~ Bentley Jackson; sisters ~ Carmen Dockrey, Gusta Louise Dockrey, Beatrice Hammack and Thelma Brown; a brother ~ Edgar Dockrey; an infant brother; and a great-grandson ~ Andrew Lovan.



There will be a visitation for Izetta Jackson on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. John Shoulta will officiate. Burial will follow at the New Beulah Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY. Pallbearers include: Kent Lovan, Kenneth Mason, Shawn Funkhouser, Todd McKinney, Scott McElroy, and Chip Gill.
