Harry Zane Martin

Harry Zane Martin, age 75, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Tradewater Health and Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY. Mr. Martin was born on August 4, 1933 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Ralph and Olean Majors Martin. He was a graduate of Nortonville High School and was a retired coal miner. He served his country in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Suthards Baptist Church.



Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law ~ Beth and Mike Carlisle in Anton, KY; sons and daughters-in-law ~ Randy and Tammy Martin of Ilsley, KY, Kevin and Maudie Martin of Princeton; sisters ~ Eula Thorp of Ilsley, KY, and Dorothy Lamb of Drakesboro, KY; brother ~ John Martin of Eddyville, KY and seven grandchildren.



Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife ~ Barbara Ann Martin (departed 7/17/2008); sisters ~ Geneva Barnes and Opal Horen.



Visitation for Mr. Harry Zane Martin will be Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. George Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Suthards Cemetery.
