Guy Jones

Guy Jones, age 89, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Jones was born on November 24, 1918 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Charlie Weller Jones and Hester Ann Egbert Jones. Mr. Jones served his country in the United States Army from 1941 - 1945 and was a veteran World War II. He was also of the Christian faith and a retired coal miner.



Survivors include his wife ~ Annetta Boyd Jones; a daughter ~ Judy Allen of Spring Hill, TN; two sisters ~ Imogene Thomas and Ruthlene Hardwick of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Jim Jones of Evansville, IN; and two grandchildren ~ Kim McGregor and Shawn Allen.



Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters ~ Earnest Jones, Charlie Rufus Jones, Ermond Jones, Ruby Lee Jones, Lelia Gertrude Jones Dunbar, Beulah Jones Peyton, Earl Jones, Cecil Jones, Minnie Jones and Bertha Jones Eli.



Visitation for Mr. Guy Jones will be Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Friday, January 18, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Jeff Graham will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be Ben Campbell, Bill Lanham, Frank Hunt, Bill Metheny, Lyle Noah and Harry Campbell.
