Georgia Agnes Smith

Georgia Agnes Smith, age 95, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Ms. Smith was born in St. Charles, KY on September 7, 1924 to the late Rev. Jess McKnight and Etter Perkins McKnight. She was a housewife and mother and was formerly active in music ministry in the region, and with a lady’s ministry at her church, The River Church in Nortonville, KY.



Ms. Smith is survived by her son, Ronald A. (Roberta) Johnson of Providence, KY; one brother, Ray McKnight of St. Charles, KY; three grandchildren, Barry Johnson, Holly (Jason) Mosier, and Candy Kiesel; one step grandson, Benji (Samantha) Geralds; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Townsell, Austin Mosier, Bradley Mosier, Brian Kiesel and Lucas Kiesel; and three step great-grandchildren, Harley Geralds, Lucas Geralds and Kayden Geralds.



She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clayton C. Smith.



Visitation for Georgia Agnes Smith will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 11:00 AM (CST) until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM (CST) at Beshear Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Dawson Springs, KY 42408. Rev. Steve Terry and Sister Joanne Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery near St. Charles, KY.



While attending all visitation and funeral services please observe the state mandated Covid safety measures by maintaining 6 feet distancing and the wearing of face mask coverings at all times.
