George David Allen

George David Allen, age 51, of Mortons Gap, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mr. Allen was born on April 12, 1966 in Torrance, CA to the late Charles Allen and Mamie Ruth Lantrip Allen. He worked as a truck driver for Chappell Trucking and was a member of Richland Baptist Church.



Mr. Allen is survived by a brother ~ Rev. Jimmy (Clara) Lantrip of Madisonville, KY; two sisters ~ Cindy Lantrip of Nashville, TN and Glenda Allen (Clyde) Messamore of Madisonville, KY; two nieces ~ Melony Shelton and Cassie Strader and two great-nephews ~ Lane Shelton and Kendan Strader.



Preceding Mr. Allen in death are his parents; his paternal grandparents ~ George and Nancy Allen; and his maternal grandparents ~ Bryon & Cumella Lantrip.



Visitation for George David Allen will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lantrip officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Princeton, Kentucky.



Pallbearers will be: Dennis Allen, Ronnie Lantrip, Leslie Mitchell, Wayne Gordon, Bobby Dean Cotton and David Cotton.
