Gayle Poe

Gayle Poe, age 89, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. She was born on September 7, 1933 in Princeton, KY to the late Henry and Pearl Hamby Barnett. Mrs. Poe was a beloved mother and homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.

She is survived by three daughters ~ Cheryl Poe Simons, Neda Poe Adams and Tana Poe (Joe) Roberts all of Dawson Springs, KY; one son ~ Russ Poe of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren ~ Heather Orten, Leann Giese, Jason Adams, Clay Simons, Blake Roberts, Britney Marlowe and Brett Roberts; fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband ~ Sidney Russell Poe (departed 9/25/2000), two brothers ~ Jewell Barnett and Kenneth Barnett; a great-grandchild ~ Brice Young and her son-in-law ~ Tommy Adams.

A visitation will be held for Gayle Poe on Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 12:00 noon until the 1:30 PM Funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Mrs. Tana Roberts will officiate the service and burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Pallbearers will be: Joe Roberts, Jason Adams, Brett Roberts, Clay Simons, Blake Roberts and Dalton Simons.
