Florence May Utley

Florence May Utley, age 96, of Sturgis, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Breckinridge Place in Morganfield, KY.  Mrs. Utley was born on March 1, 1928 in Madisonville, KY to the late Arthur Pierce and Lovie Norris Pierce. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Utley loved gardening, shopping, going out to eat and her beloved dog, Dusty.

She is survived by her daughter ~ Susan (Estil) Howard of Sturgis, KY; two sons ~ Billy (Rachel) Utley of Sturgis, KY and Randy (Pam) Utley of Caseyville, KY; six grandchildren ~ Wendy Utley, Cody Utley, Alicia Overfield, Amber Hartley, Jody Utley and Ashley Utley; nine great-grandchildren ~ Jonathan Ford, Jenna Mae Utley, Emma Jane Utley, Laine Overfield, Rowdy Overfield, Harper Overfield, Ian Lanham, Camden Lanham & Brayson Lanham.

Mrs. Utley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Samuel Utley (departed 3/31/2006); her daughter ~ Ruby Overfield; two sisters ~ Nellie Walters and Hazel Jennings; five brothers ~ Cecil Pierce, Garnett Pierce, John Pierce, Bill Pierce and Marshal (Sam) Pierce.

Visitation for Mrs. Florence May Utley will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral hour with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Ausenbaugh Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Pallbearers will be Cody Utley, Estil Howard, Billy Collins, Jody Utley and Trevor Sewell.
