Ernest Thurman "Junior" Moore

Ernest Thurman Moore, Jr., age 73, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Moore was born on March 25, 1947 in Hopkins County, KY to Ernest Thurman Moore, Sr. and Grady Evelyn Poe Moore. Mr. Moore worked as a coal miner for many years. He was of the Christian Faith. His passion was his family and fishing.



Mr. Moore is survived by a wife, Sharon Brooksher Moore of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters, Sarah (Keith) McKinney of Dawson Springs, KY, and Ashley (Leif) Skaggs of Bowling Green, KY; two sons, Jimmy (Evonne) Eaves of Dawson Springs, Ky and Cody (Ashley) Burden of Beaver Day, KY; one brother, Robert (Joyce) Moore of Dawson Springs, KY; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.



Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Montrella Sue Moore (1993); sister, Patsy Vaughn; three brothers, Billy Moore, Elmer Moore and Richard Moore; and one great grandson, Acea Dewayne McKinney.



Visitation for Ernest Thurman “Junior” Moore will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Donnie Howton will officiate, and burial will follow at Ilsley Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Lonnie Mathis, Johnny Pendley, Earl Day, Jacob Hines, Kevin Purdy and Lauren McKinney.



While attending all visitation and funeral services please observe the state mandated Covid safety measures by maintaining 6 feet distancing and the wearing of face mask coverings at all times.
