Effie Jane Laffoon

Effie Jane Laffoon, age 93, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Laffoon was born on February 15, 1915 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Johnny Farar and Maggie Purdy Farar. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and member of Charleston Baptist Church.



Survivors include two daughters ~ Nadine Hicks and Joyce Martinez of Dawson Springs, KY; a son ~ William Norman Laffoon of Madisonville, KY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.



Mrs. Laffoon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Willie Owen Laffoon (departed 10/7/1983; a son ~ Edward Owen Laffoon; sisters ~ Minnie Mitchell, Lena Stagner and Delia Duncan; brothers ~ Harley Farar, Otho Farar and Marlin Farar.



Visitation for Mrs. Effie Jane Laffoon will be Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. George Thompson will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Dunn Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
