Dorthy Jean Dearing

Dorthy Jean Dearing, age 74, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Woodlands Care Center, Newburgh, IN. Ms. Dearing was born on September 5, 1948 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Johnny Clev Stallins and Virginia Lee Harmon Stallins. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. She attended the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Ms. Dearing is survived by a daughter, Michelle Jean Terrell (Anthony) of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons, Shawn Dearing (Bobbie Jones) of Henderson, KY, and Johnnie Lee Dearing of Dawson Springs, KY; three sisters, Carolyn Stevens (Donald) of Dawson Springs, KY, Teresa Kutz and Kelly DeClue of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Johnny Carrol Stallins of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Kaitlynn Dearing, Alley Morgan, Phillip Winters, Alysha Tyson, Sheldon Dearing and Austin Dearing; eight great grandchildren, Isaiah Berry, Tristan Winters, Ryleigh Winters, Luke Winters, Lexus Mankle, Emilee White, Nash Tyson and Bo Tyson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lonnie Stallins.

Visitation for Ms. Dorthy Jean Dearing will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Visitation will resume on Sunday, April 2, 2023 and continue from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
