Dora Florence Hamby

Dora Florence Hamby, age 76, Metropolis, IL and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Mrs. Hamby was born on May 22, 1932 in Hopkins County, KY to the late William “Billy” W. Clark and Dora E. Kemp Clark. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was a member of the Primitive Baptist faith.



Survivors include two sons ~ Stephen Hamby and Gary Hamby of Metropolis, IL; a grandson ~ Zachary Hamby and a granddaughter ~ Alyson Hamby.



Mrs. Hamby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Eugene Lee Hamby (Departed 3/24/1988); four sisters and a brother.



Visitation for Mrs. Dora Florence Hamby will be Monday, August 18, 2008 from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Elder Jeff Winfrey will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
