Donnie Joe Copeland

Donnie Joe Copeland, age 59, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Copeland was born on August 23, 1948 in Christian County, KY to Ellis Joshua Copeland and the late Jewel Francis Copeland on February 14, 2005. He was a welder, working for more than 19 years at P&M Colonial Mine. He also worked as an independent commercial and residential electrician. Mr. Copeland was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Caldwell County, KY.



Survivors include: his father ~ Ellis Joshua Copeland of Dawson Springs, KY; his wife ~ Peggy Jean Dunn Copeland of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Cynthia Workman and Wendy Solomon both of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ Greg Copeland of Dawson Springs, KY and Jon Dunn of Maryville, TN; a brother ~ David Copeland of Dawson Springs, KY and ten grandchildren.



Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his mother ~ Jewell Francis Copeland; his first wife ~ Myeerah Ann Paul Copeland (departed 4/2/2000) and a stillborn brother ~ Ronald Ellis Copeland.



A memorial service for Mr. Donnie Joe Copeland was held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating.
