Donald Ray Parrent

Donald Ray Parrent, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Parrent was born April 13, 1944 in Cadiz, KY to the late Willie David Parrent and Dorothy Louise Banister Parrent. He worked as an underground coal miner for 29 years and retired from Pyro Mines and was a UMWA member.



Mr. Parrent is survived by two daughters ~ Stacey Dawn Parrent of Cadiz, KY, and Teresa Ann Wilkerson of Nashville, TN; two sons ~ Steven (Tammie) Parrent of Trigg County, KY and Donald Eric Parrent of Madisonville, KY; two step-daughters ~ Dana Agent of Madisonville, KY and Gaye Lynn Adair of Dawson Springs, KY; a step-son ~ Ross (Jada) Agent of Dawson Springs, KY; seven grandchildren ~ Jessica Diane Smeeks, Trenton D. Parrent, Joseph Quentin Parrent, Hunter McKenzee, Cody Allen Wilkerson, Colton Wayne Wilkerson & Matt Jones; three great-grandchildren ~ Mylee Jones, Kyler Morgan and Madison Morgan; step-grandchildren ~ Cory Ray Agent, Tabitha Lynn Adair, David Dwayne Ausenbaugh and Shara Delane Griffin; step-great-grandchildren ~ Jaden Ausenbaugh, Kaylie Albright, Allie Summers, Mary Jane Agent, Ayrn Cooper and Scout Griffin.



He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife ~ Barbara Agent Parrent; a sister ~ Joann Payne; brothers ~ Jimmy Parrent, Larry Parrent, Jerry Parrent and Stephen Parrent and a step-son ~ James Harold Agent, Jr.



Visitation for Donald Ray Parrent will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 1:00 until the service hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY, with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
