David H. Cannon

David H. Cannon, age 82, of St. Charles, KY passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Cannon was born September 6, 1939 to the late Ewell Cannon and Hazel “Irene” Fruit Addison. During his later working years, he was a tree trimmer. Previously, he had served as the Chief of Police of Dawson Springs in the late 60s and early 70s. He was of the Christian Faith.



Mr. Cannon is survived by four daughters, Patricia Bean and Brenda Springer both of St. Charles, KY, Jean White (Timothy) of Nortonville, KY and Tammy Williams of Cerulean, KY; one brother, George Cannon of Hopkinsville, KY; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.



He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Barbara Sue Franklin Cannon (2004); one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild.



Visitation for David H. Cannon will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brad Payne officiating at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Burial will follow at Ilsley Cemetery.



Active pallbearers include: Steve Springer, Patrick Bean, Aaron White, Daniel Bean, Zack Skimmehorn and Timothy White. Honorary Pallbearers include Harley Bean, Johnny Bean, Dylan Kennedy, Brian Springer and David Bean.
