Charles R. Pool

Charles R. Pool, age 83, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Madisonville Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Pool was born on November 13, 1940 in Crofton, KY to the late Frances Pool and Rosa Cook Pool. Charles retired after working 31 years with Peabody Coal Company and was a member of the Dawson Springs Baptist Temple. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Pool is survived by his daughter ~ Kathy Mitchell of Madisonville, KY; his son ~ Kevin Pool of Princeton, KY; four grandchildren ~ Amanda Russell, Weston Mitchell, Shannon Pool and Austin Pool; and three great-grandchildren ~ Ryker Dame, Zachariah Harris and Noah Russell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife ~ Joan Pool (departed 1/12/2003); his sisters ~ Virginia May, Ruby Lovely, Nadean Hill and Geno Day; his brothers ~ William Pool and Ray Pool.

Visitation for Charles R. Pool will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the 2:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Donnie Howton and Rev. Dennis Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Army.

Pallbearers will be: Randy Lewis, Weston Mitchell, Patrick Russell, Jeffery Bryant, Ricky Walls and Larry Parker.
