Carl Loman Orten

Carl Loman Orten, age 88, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Orten was born on August 1, 1930 in Northern Christian County, KY to the late James William Orten and Marjorie Victoria Trotter Orten. He operated heavy equipment for strip mining operations in the Western Kentucky region, and he was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Orten is survived by his wife of 66 years ~ Dorothy Lantrip Orten of Madisonville, KY; two daughters ~ Ladonna Jo (Terry) Peyton of Madisonville, KY, Chrystal Kay (Ed) Renfrow of Hillsboro, TN; two brothers ~ Richard Lee (R.L.) and Carolyn Orten, and Johnny Elvis Orten both of Dawson Springs, KY; and one sister ~ Nancy Ruth Hoard of Dawson Springs, KY; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters ~ Vealer Orten (infant) and Mildred Hamby; five brothers ~ Ruby Orten (infant), Mitchell Orten (infant), Melvin Orten, Forrest Orten and Lawson Orten.



Visitation for Mr. Carl Loman Orten will be on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY, and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. David Hoard officiating. Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Christian County, KY.
