Bonnie Lou Knight Brown, age 93, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation in Dawson Springs, KY. Ms. Brown was born May 30, 1928 to William White and Rossa May Alexander White near Crofton, KY. She worked for many years as a custodian at the Crofton School and most recently she served as a “Foster Grandparent” at the Dawson Springs Pre-school and at the Outwood Campus.
She was a member of the Empire Gospel Church.
Ms. Brown is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ethel and Jimmy Dehart of Charleston, KY, and Sarah and Timothy Fox of Dawson Springs, KY; fourteen grandchildren, Willie Knight, Sanford Knight, Johnny Knight, Chris Knight, Jeff Gajda, Pam Ahlert, Judy Underwood, Link Dehart, Randy Knight, Tonya Knight, Rebecca Knight, Tiffany Wallace, Leslie Fox, and Sydney Cowan; eighteen great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Sanford Knight, and her second husband, Leonard Brown; one daughter, Julie Gajda; three sons, Thomas Earl Knight, Allen Knight and Michael Knight; one sister, Agnes Lainer Barnett; two brothers, Herman White and Therman White; two granddaughters, Sandy Steeley and Pam Miller; two grandsons, Eddie Parker and David Gajda.
Visitation for Bonnie Lou Knight Brown will be on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Doug Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Hawkins Cemetery, Christian County, KY. Active pallbearers include Link Dehart, Johnny Knight, Zack Miller, Randy Knight Jeff Gajda, and Luck Gajda.
