Blanche Calvert

Blanche Calvert, age 95, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Calvert was born on April 24, 1913 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Jewell Logan and Archie Wyatt Logan. She was a graduate of Dalton High School and Western Kentucky Teacher College and Murray State Teacher College. She retired after teaching 40 years in the Hopkins County School System and also served as Deputy County Court Clerk from 1961 – 1973.



Survivors include a Son and Daughter-in-law ~ Judge Logan and Jacquelyn Calvert of Madisonville, KY; a granddaughter ~ Whitney Ross Calvert of Lexington, KY; a sister-in-law ~ Joyce Polley Logan of Lexington, KY and several nieces and nephews.



Mrs. Calvert was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Walton Calvert (departed 9/29/1993); and a brother ~ Jewell Wyatt Logan.



Visitation for Mrs. Blanche Calvert will be Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at McNeely Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY with Rev. Randall Rogers officiating.
