Bivian Jean Chambers, age 84, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Chambers was born on February 5, 1935 in Charleston, KY to the late Robert Lee Moore, Sr., and Nettie Riordan Moore. She was a member of the Dunn Missionary Baptist Church, and she worked for fifteen years with Mid-Continent Spring Factory in Hopkinsville, KY. Lastly, she worked for 10 years at the Pantry in Dawson Springs, KY.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by her daughter ~ Elizabeth “Jeanie” Appleby and her husband, Jerry, who resides in Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Susan Bean of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter-in-law ~ Martha Chambers of Princeton, KY; five grandchildren ~ Melissa Chambers, Carrie Jones, Mike Russell, Greg Russell and Josh Bennett; six great grandchildren ~ Zack Russell, Ty Russell, Emma Russell, Ella Russell, Maci Bennett and Laci Bennett; and, one great-great granddaughter ~ Ashton Russell.
Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by her parents; Husband ~ Thomas Edward Chambers (departed 8-3-2013); Son ~ Donald Edward Chambers (departed 1-8-2005); four brothers ~ Lynn Ray Moore, Robert Lee Moore, Jr., Harold Dean Moore & Benny Ray Moore; and one sister ~ Diane Jewell Moore.
Visitation for Mrs. Chambers will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey, officiating, and to be assisted by her granddaughter, Carrie Jones. Burial will follow at Menser Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY. Active pallbearers include Mike Russell, Greg Russell, Josh Bennett, Zack Russell, Ty Russell and David Goodaker.
