Billy Ray Spurlin

Billy Ray Spurlin, age 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Hillside Center, Madisonville, KY. Mr Spurlin was born on September 5, 1940 in Elkton, KY to Bailey Spurlin and Gladys Morrison Spurlin. He worked for many years as a custodian for Christian Assembly of Madisonville, KY where he was a member.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Elder (Jimmie), Brenda Suzette Mires (Terry); two sons, Danny Spurlin, Wesley Spurlin (Cheryl); three sisters, Linda Sullivan, Mary Isabelle Spurlin and Brenda Dixon; two brothers, James Spurlin, Jimmy Spurlin; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Spurlin is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Dorothy Steeley Spurlin (DOD 2008).

A visitation for Billy Ray Spurlin will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Shyflat Cemetery near Dawson Springs, KY.
