Bill Smith, 76 of Dawson Springs, Kentucky passed away on September 18th, 2017. He was born June 24th, 1941 in Steele Missouri, and was the son of the late Floyd and Glenda Smith.
Bill served in the US Army and his occupations included farmer and investment banker. He had a passion for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gospel music but his greatest passion was making friends and always helping others in any way possible.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Smith, Dawson Springs KY; two sons - Mike Smith (Lacey) of Greenbrier AR, and Floyd Smith of Benton AR; a Sister - Betty Moss (Charles) of Caruthersville MO; two Granddaughters- Briana Smith Kimball (Keith) and Lauren Smith, and a Grandson- Braden Smith, a Great Granddaughter- Adeline Kimball and two Great Grandsons- Alec and Maverick Kimball. Additionally, he is survived by a Stepson - Wade Castleberry (Brandy) and a Step daughter Darlene Castleberry Jackson (Dewayne) and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Cable, his father- Floyd Smith, his mother- Glenda Smith, and his brother- Howard Smith (Judy).
Memorial services were held September 21st at 10:30 am at the John German Funeral Home in Steele MO with graveside services following at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele MO. The services were officiated by Reverend Kenny Lee.
