Garnett Noel Young

Garnett Noel Young, age 91, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Christian Care Center, Kuttawa, KY. Mr. Young was born on February 29, 1928 in Caldwell County, KY to the late Lester Earl Young and Jewell French Young. He worked as a mechanic at BFGoodrich most of his working life in Calvert City, KY. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.



Mr. Young is survived by two daughters ~ Tammy Audas of Madisonville, KY and Terri Freeman of Dawson Springs, KY; one sister ~ Lettie Ann (James Earl) McKnight of Dawson Springs, KY; five grandchildren ~ McCade Freeman, Dowell Freeman, Hope Perkins, Kelsey Cotton and Chad Audas; and seven great-grandchidren ~ Caleb Perkins, Addi Perkins, Troy Freeman, Macy Cotton, Molly Cotton, McKinley Audas and Madi Kaye Audas.



He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother ~ James Young (departed during WWII), one sister ~ Nelda Ruth Porter, and one granddaughter ~ Courtney Kaye Freeman (departed 9-13-04).



Visitation for Mr. Garnett Noel Young will be Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey, Rev. Randall Rogers and Rev. Robin Redd officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Chad Audas, Phil Terry, McCade Freeman, Buddy Castle, Donnie Ford and Dowell Freeman.
